The most significant business value comes from the integration of systems and services.  BLAM’s suite of 500+ microservices includes a range of more than 100 integration connectors to media production and business systems and services, encompassing everything from rights management to automated QC, and from AI-based media indexing to billing systems.

Record & Playout Systems

BLAM has fully featured recorder control integrations with baseband and IP recorder systems including Bluefish444 IngeSTor, Pronology mRes, Tools-on-air live:cut, EVS XT, Quantel sQ and more.  Upstream there are connectors for baseband router controllers including Rascular Routemaster providing a single control layer for operations. Connectors are also available for linear broadcast playout systems such as Snell Morpheus [BCNEXXT Vipe]and broadcast traffic systems including MediaGenix What’sOn, ForeTV or any BXF compliant interface.

AQC

Automated QC has long been a labour-saving capability in media operation and BLAM drives further business value through orchestration with integration connectors for Telestream VidCheck, Telestream Qualify, Intera BATON, GreyMeta Iris, Emotion Systems Eff and for subtitle quality management YellaUmbrella’s STELLA and NEBULA products are supported.

Edit Systems

Direct connector plug-ins for the Adobe Creative suite including Premiere Pro and Photoshop and bi-directional connectors for, Avid, QuantelsQ and with our integration of the MediaAnwhere technology enables a zero-latency cloud-based editing workflow.

Transcoders

Support is offered for legacy file-based transcoders including Ateme Titan and Amberfin, as well as the popular platforms Capella Cambria and Telestream Vantage. Cloud based transcode services including AWS Elemental MediaConvert, and the Telestream Cloud services, Vantage Cloud and Flip are also supported.

Data Services

Connection to data services, particularly in support of sports production affords significant operational efficiencies.  BLAM offers integrations with data providers including OPTA, Sportsradar, Sportec, GameStats, and more together with the ability to import structured data from many production systems including EVS. For finished material production data BLAM has connectors for EIDR and Fabric Data.

AI/ML Solutions

Integrations to both simple and more complex AI/ML solutions are offered, with connectors for the AWS tools Translate, Transcribe and Rekognition, Azure AI Video Indexer as well as deep integration with Wasabi AIR and a powerful, highly configurable custom integration for GPT.

OTT Delivery Platforms

BLAM provides integrations with consumer VOD and FAST platform intermediaries, or direct to consumer solutions including Brightcove OVP, Amagi and Netflix (Backlot)

Business Systems

A key strength of BLAM is the range of bi-directional connectors to business systems. These include rights management systems, metadata management systems, product information management systems as well as work order and finance reconciliation solutions.  At a more basic level structured data can be imported to and exported in real time from Google Sheets, and there are read/write connectors to online project management tools including Monday.com, Airtable, Slack, Zoho and Trello.

Social Media Platforms

BLAM’s integration connectors with social media platforms afford a high level of control for media owners allowing rights assertion and take-down functions alongside the basic publish capability. Integrations for prosumer social platforms include YouTube, Hootsuite, Facebook, Vimeo, Dailymotion and 23Video. The platform also supports connectors to consumer platforms such as X, Twitch, TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat and Wochit.

File Transfer Systems

BLAM has integration connectors for the file transfer ‘accelerators’ systems from Aspera and Signiant, the connectors include progress tracking and digital receipting capabilities.

Storage and HSM System

The ability for BLAM to seamlessly bring multiple storage systems under unified management is a significant benefit to large operators, particularly those who operate cloud-ground hybrid operations. Native integrations are provided for cloud technologies including Azure Blob, AWS S3 and GCP as well as ground systems from Quantum, Qumulo Spectralogic BlackPearl and DAC ALTO.  Legacy HSM systems including SGL Flashnet and Oracle Diva are supported together with prosumer capabilities from Box, Google Drive and DropBox.

Message Brokers

BLAM caters for event based architectures where these are appropriate with off the shelf connectors for tools including AWS SNS, SQS and EventBridge, RabbitMQ,  Azure Service and more.

Legacy Media Platforms

We are too polite to define what we consider to be legacy media management platforms but do enquire as we have proven connectors for a wide range of these which effect a one-time migration or retained in service model.

Monitoring & Telemetry

To support service monitoring and troubleshooting BLAM has a range of standards based telemetry and tracing integration supporting the OpenTelemetry standards.
